Guided Trail Rides

Guided Trail RidesOur guided trail rides are a wonderful way to explore and enjoy a part of your National Park. We offer guided rides approximately 1 hour in length.

Our trail rides are excellent for beginner and experienced riders alike and a perfect environment to enjoy horseback riding. We provide you and your family with well trained horses which suit all skill levels. We have handpicked our horses for their calm temperament, athletic ability, and willingness to please. If you love horses and if you love nature, you will love this rare opportunity.

Guided Trail RidesOur rides are on protected Parklands inside Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Our trail crosses a rippling stream, winding through mountainous, shady forest which offers a peek into the wilderness that surrounds this historic cove. You'll enjoy the solitude of this vast area and experience an exhilarating feeling of freedom.

This is one of the opportunities to view some of the abundant wildlife that frequent and live in Cades Cove, such as White-Tailed Deer, Turkey, and maybe even a glimpse of a Black Bear or two.

Some riding stables "load 'em up" and "get 'em out". To us, that's not a good ride. We provide an orientation so you feel comfortable with your ride before we leave. Guided Horseback rides depart continually throughout the day and are approximately 1 hour in length. As the National Park's only Guided Trail Ridesauthorized riding stables in Cades Cove we believe in giving great service to the people who ride with us, so we keep our rides as small as possible with a limit of 9 riders per group. Riding with our guides "is like riding with one of your friends."

Children under 16 are required to wear a safety helmet. We suggest that all riders wear a safety helmet which we provide free of charge for all riders.

Due to the popularity of the Guided Horseback rides, reservations will not be accepted. All rides are subject to weather and trail conditions.
