Directions and Weather

Please do not be misguided by companies outside the Park claiming that there are no longer horseback rides being offered in Cades Cove. We are located in Cades Cove and not in Townsend. Cades Cove Riding Stables is located 7 miles past Townsend in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We are the National Park's only authorized riding stables in Cades Cove.

From Pigeon Forge:

Turn on TN-73/US-321/Wears Valley Rd traveling 15 miles to left turn at "T" intersection at traffic light. Pass the "Cades Cove Stables" in Townsend traveling 2.2 miles to Slight right at "Y" intersection onto Cades Cove Rd. Travel 7.5 mi to left turn at Campground Dr then 0.1 miles to Stables driveway on right.

From Gatlinburg:

Head south on TN-71 S/US-441 into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Turn right at visitor center onto Laurel Creek Rd Continue stright into Cades Cove following signs to stables.

Located in Cades Cove. Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
